Before you are able to use the Mystery Gift system to claim your pre-order items, you first need to unlock the Mystery Gift option in the main menu. It’s a simple process but check the guide if you need some help. You need to complete the 2nd gym and get your own bike and then head back to Jubilife City. Once you’re back in the city head into the TV station, speak to a man on the third floor twice, and you will unlock the Mystery Gift.

Once you have unlocked the Mystery Gift, open the main menu with X. You will now see the Mystery Gift as an option on the menu. Select the Mystery Gift screen and then follow the on-screen instructions to claim a gift via the internet. Obviously you need your Nintendo Switch to be online to be able to claim these items. Once you do this, you will scan for a few moments before the game informs you of what Mystery Gifts are available.

Select the gifts to have them unlocked.
