How To Use Weapon Skills In Dark Souls 3

If you want to see what skill a weapon or shield has go into your equipment menu. Click on your weapon tab and go the weapon you want to check. Use the “show item info” button to see the weapon’s skill. You will see it at the bottom, this applies to shields as well.

Now to use the weapon skill you will need to weapon equipped. When it is equipped hit the L2 button on PS4, or left trigger on Xbox One(don’t know the PC button) to activate the weapon skill. The skills will vary and you might even have to hold the button down for some of them, read the description for better info. If you have you shield equipped at the time it will do whatever the shield move is, most likely a parry. There are a few shields that have the Weapon Skill on them for their own skill. This means that while you have the shield out you can still use your weapon skills. So for instance while you one hand your Battle Axe you can still use War Cry to strengthen your attack and use the shield to block.
