Kingdom Come Deliverance Persuasion & Conversation Choice Guide

Kingdom Come Deliverance Persuasion & Conversation Choice Guide
Kingdom Come Deliverance boasts a number of deep, complex and rewarding mechanics. This Kingdom Come Deliverance Persuasion & Conversation Choice Guide focuses on the different choices you can make during conversations, how to persuade people to get what you want and what’s the best way to tackle certain people.

There is a brief tutorial explaining the basics of the system at the start of the game but it doesn’t provide much insight as it’s a whole lot of information about a mechanic you have yet to use much. It’s a little more deeper than the average RPG game as it lets you use abilities outside your typical speech exclusive perks. Whenever you are in a conversation with an NPC and a choice appears, you want to navigate to the lower left of the screen.

Here you will see several stats. Reputation, Speech, Charisma and Strength. Henry’s stats are always visible but the targets stats are not. If you have spoken to your target many times before, they are visible, but there is also a perk you can get that makes all social stats visible in every conversation. This perk is a fantastic use of points so make sure to grab it as soon as you can.

In the image above, during a conversation with Theresa, you can see that I have several conversation options here. Two Strength options, a Charisma option and a Speech option. In the lower right, as I have spoke to Theresa before, you can see both of our stats. I have 5 Speech, 6 Charisma and 7 Strength, with 100 Reputation. She has 5 Speech, an unknown amount of Charisma and 8 Strength.

The best option to choose to “win” each conversational choice is Speech, as my Speech rating is higher.

Here you can see a similar situation. Once again I have all of Lady Stephanie’s stats available. You can see here that only Speech would be successful. Anything else and I would fail the conversational options available. This is why it is crucial to get the correct perk if you want to be successful in your social adventures.

To get the perk open the menu and navigate to the Player tab. Then scroll down to Speech and expand it. Once your Speech has reached level 8 you can unlock the Empathetic perk. This will show all skillchecks when in a conversation with anyone.
