You can find the quest here on the map. You need to wrap around Jabba’s Palace to get to the droid.
You will have three markers on the map. Head to them and chat with the Jawas to get a little more info about where the droid is. You will learn that it has been stealing from the Jawa Village and it is leaving a trail of junk. Follow the junk pile and you will reach a door that has the Droid behind it.
It won’t let you in, so you need to figure out a way to get inside. Above the door there is a terminal that C3PO can interact with. Use a Jedi or Sith to pick C3PO up and place him near the terminal. Interact with it and you can use the droid inside of the room to open the door. Once inside you will have to fight with the missing droid. When he gets back to the supervisor droid you will unlock the option to buy it.
