Mad Max Guide – Vehicle Unlocks & Hidden Car Locations

Mad Max Guide - Vehicle Unlocks & Hidden Car Locations
The post-apocalyptic wasteland of Mad Max will push your combat prowess to its limits but what good is Max without his wheels? This Mad Max Guide – Vehicle Unlocks & Hidden Car Locations lists all of the vehicles we’ve discovered so far, how you can unlock them and if they offer any bonuses when retrieved. There are 32 different cars available in Mad Max and there are a variety of different ways to unlock them. The simplest way is probably to encounter them while exploring and then stealing them from enemies before returning to a friendly stronghold. This unlocks the vehicle for later use. When using this method it’s common for the vehicles to begin with very low fuel to always keep a spare in the back of your Magnus Opus to ensure you have enough fuel to get home. If you need to partly destroy a vehicle, such as removing its tires, before it stops, you can use your own Scrap to quick fix the car at the front.

The other method of unlocking each vehicle is to complete the associated Death Run. These are race style missions that reward a specific car upon completion. I’ve listed those locations with each of the vehicles as well.

Some vehicles, such as the Scrapulance and Chum’s Buggy have additional benefits and effects. In this case Scrapulance provides a bonus amount of Scrap when collected and Chum’s Buggy features a spot for the dog that can be used to locate and disable minefields.

After you’ve collected a few cars it can be a little difficult to be sure you’re targeting new additions to your collection. The best way to save time here is to keep your eye ope for the on-screen prompts. It the game alerts you to a new style of enemy, that is an indication that there’s an enemy nearby with a car you’ve yet to collect. If you miss that initial prompt there is another when you enter a vehicle. It will tell you that you can drive it back to your Stronghold and add it to your collection.

I am writing this as I go so please forgive me if I’ve got a fair bit missing to start with. I’ve listed all the vehicles below and will update with information on unlocking them as I discover them. If you’ve got details on any I’ve yet to find post a comment and I’ll update the guide
