Side Missions are optional activities in Spider-Man that you can unlock as you progress through the game. Some of them are unlocked through natural progression in the main story, others take a little more work and effort to unlock.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Side Mission Guide – Financial District
This Side Mission is unlocked after you complete all of the Network Towers throughout the city. You get 1500 XP for completing the Side Mission. You need to track down some devices and take them out.
This Side Mission is unlocked through story, after you talk to the CFO in the mercenary tent. You need to kill a few snipers and release the hostages. You get 3000 XP.
This Side Mission is unlocked through story progression. You get 1500 XP for completing it. Head to the objective area, clear out all the enemies and then chase the pigeon down to get the flash drive. You need to use your L1 and R1 to catch the pigeons until you catch the correct one.
This Side Mission is unlocked after you capture Shock in the story. Track down the boyfriend and take the picture, the sign above the store works best as you need the females face. Track the cards to stop the vehicles and the robbery. You get 1500 XP
This Side Mission unlocks after you investigate the mask in story. Head to the crime scene and speak with the witness before checking the body then head to the nearby fire. Continue on investigating the next scenes just the same. Clear out the enemies at the end. You get 1500 XP.
This Side Mission is unlocked during story, after sleeping on Aunt May’s couch. Speak with Howard and he will inform you that he has lost his pigeons. You need to search the town and return them. They are marked by bird icons on your map. I would progress through the story until you can Fast Travel, makes this Side Mission much faster. You get 1000 XP.
You need to progress through the story until you unlock Black Cat Stakeouts, then you must find all of them before this Side Mission becomes available. Enter the secret door to unlock a new suit.
You must have completed Side Mission College Buddies. This is the same as before, you need to find the location of the missing person using a photograph.
Go there and investigate the crime scene then follow the objective markers. You get 1500 XP
You must have completed A Matter Of Debate. Same as before, you need to find his location based on the picture. This time the football team is missing. As before, follow the picture to the following place.
This Side Mission is unlocked through story progression. After you take down the leader of the Demon Gang. Track down the drives, take out the enemies and return the drives. You get 3000 XP.
