Mass Effect Andromeda – Scientific Outpost Or Military Outpost

During Mass Effect Andromeda you will have to place outposts on planets after you make them habitable. You will have a choice on Eos between a Military base and a Scientific base. Check out this Mass Effect Andromeda guide to figure out which one you should pick.

Which Outpost To Place In Mass Effect Andromeda

This is kind of the first serious choice of Mass Effect Andromeda. When you get there it is all up to you. So first off I want to get this out of the way, both choices look the same, aesthetically they look the same. The characters and quests that pop up at the outpost are also the same. The reward you get in the base is the same, you get a blue print for a chest piece. When you return to Tann you will get a slight dialogue change between the Krogan and the Turian depending on which you pick. The Turian likes the military base and the Krogan likes the scientific outpost. It doesn’t make a huge difference for them though.

Now when you return to the Nexus you will have a different quest based upon which side you pick. Basically, there are more military guys being thawed out for the other citizens aren’t happy that their family has been put on the back burner. We’ll update this guide with any more obvious differences as we progress.

At the end of the game there is a Prodromos Security team that says they are dropping in the last fight if you pick the Military outpost, you don’t see them but there is a message.

So basically, so far there hasn’t been a massive difference between the two. If it changes something down the line, we will update with more info when we get there.
