Several quests in MH Rise require you to use your camera to take specific pictures of certain events or creatures. This particular quest, called Boom-Boom, Bombadgy, wants you to take a photograph of a Bombadgy as it lets out gas. The Bombadgy are common creatures usually found in the starting area of Shrine Ruins. There are sometimes birds here instead, so you may need to exit and enter. It’s the first area at the bottom of the hill, near the water. Only takes a few seconds to get there from the beginning of the level.

This is what you’re looking for, a pig rodent thing, it’s cute and ugly at the same time. They are passive creatures, so they will not attack you unless provoked. However, they won’t shy from combat if you give them a smack. If you hit them, they will not flee, they will engage in combat. As a Bombadgy dies, it releases gas and deflates, that’s what you need a picture of.
There are two choices here. Hit it yourself and kill it, quickly swapping to the camera and taking a photograph or, if that doesn’t work, you can just hit it once. After you’ve hit it once your Buddies will start attacking it. Then simply stand there with your camera out and take the shot as the Bombadgy dies to complete the quest.
