In Ni No Kuni 2 you can recruit Higgledy units to help you in combat. You get a few for free but most are hidden around the world. Check out this Ni No Kuni 2 Higgledy locaiton guide to find them all as you go through the game.
Runcible is the first Higgledy you get and you cannot miss him. He is given as you help out Auntie near her home and you are introduced to the mechanic there.
Also can’t be missed. He is found in Cloudcoil Canyon and you find him once you hit a dead end. Runcible will lead you to him and he will be freed during a cut scene.
This one is pretty hard to miss but can be missed if you don’t have the right item. You will need a Munchy Nut which can be gotten from dead enemies in Cloudcoil Canyon. Filigree is found along the Slighterslide Trail and is inside a small rock with a face on it. This is kind of the introductory mission to find them in the world so it is hard to miss.
He wants cream, a dollop of single cream to be exact. You can find that from enemies Caamlands near the Unsung Shrine. Give him the cream and he will join up with you.
During Chapter 3 in the Forest of Niall the story will take you to a Dice Factory. You can find this Mutton-Bane The Mushy just to the East of the Dice Factory entrance. You need to give it a Gunkshroom.
I found him during chapter 4 but you can probably get him a bit earlier. You will need to offer Hardwearing Wool in order to get him to pop out. You can find it in the Calmlands on enemies.
Inside Crosswater Cavern. Enter the cavern and travel to the far South West room, it’s hiding in a corner there. You need to give it a Snow White Thread.
