NieR Replicant Ver1.22 The Fisherman’s Gambit Guide

NieR Replicant Ver1.22 The Fisherman's Gambit Guide
The Fisherman’s Gambit is a series of side quests based around fishing. This NieR Replicant Ver1.22 The Fisherman’s Gambit Guide will walk you through each of the stages, from stage one through to stage eight, telling you where to catch each of the fish you require and what bait is needed at each location.

This is a pretty lengthy series of quests, stretching over the entire game. There are eight different stages of the quest in total, each requiring you to locate and catch specific types of fish. It can take a while and the bait costs can be off-putting but it’s a worthwhile adventure for those looking to improve their fishing prowess. You can buy tackle and bait from the Fishing Shop in Seafront.

The Fisherman's Gambit Guide

Fisherman’s Gambit Part #1
The first part of the quest tasks you with catching 10 Sardine’s. Head to the beach in Seafront, the one to the West side of town, and use Lugworms to catch the Sardine’s. They drop about 80% of the time, so it shouldn’t take you too long to gather all 10.

Fisherman’s Gambit Part #2
Stage Two of this quest is yet another fishing objective, no surprise there, and this time you’re tasked with catching 7 Blowfish. Blowfish also require Lugworms as the bait. You can catch them right at the old man. The old man in Seafront that gives you the fishing quest. Stand next to him and cast in to the water. This is where you catch the Blowfish. You just need 7 this time around.

Fisherman’s Gambit Part #3
The third stage of this quest requires you to catch some Rainbow Trout. You can find them underneath the massive bridge in the North East side of the Northern Plains. You use the Lure bait to catch them.

Fisherman’s Gambit Part #4
This is the final part of the first half of the quest. You need to catch some Bream. Head to the fishing pier in Seafront, near the old man fisher than gives you the quest, and cast off using your Lure. That will be the bait you need to catch the Bream.

Fisherman’s Gambit Part #5
We’re over halfway. The next quest in the Fisherman’s Gambit line is to catch 5 Black Bass. You need to use your Lure and fish at the beach in your village.

Fisherman’s Gambit Part #6
To get Part 6, you need to complete the first half of the game. You will know when the second half begins, it’s very clear. Speak to the old man in Seafront again to get another Fisherman’s Gambit challenge, this time to find 3 Sandfish. You need to travel to the South West corner of the Desert area and use a Lure on the sand river there to catch 3 Sandfish.

Fisherman’s Gambit Part #7
After catching your 3 Sandfish it’s time to move on and catch 3 Royal Fish. You need Earth Worms as the bait for these fish and they can be found in the stream that is in Eastern Road.

Fisherman’s Gambit Part #8
The final stage before the finale. For the 8th stage of the Fisherman’s Gambit you need to catch two Blue Marlin. You need to use Sardines and fish off the pier with the old fisherman.

Fisherman’s Gambit Part Finale
This is it, you’ve made it. The 9th and final part of the quest is to catch the legendary Hyneria. If you want to fish up this legendary fish you need to take Sardines back to the Desert, the same place you caught the Sandfish.

That’s it. You get a final fishing level increase and the quest chain is complete.
