Want to unlock all the powers to access new areas in the new Ori? This Ori And The Will Of The Wisps Ability Powers Location Guide will tell you where to find each of the different powers we’ve discovered in the game so far. Some provide access to secret areas while others are often required to progress in the story.
You can’t miss this one. It’s in the prologue in Swallows Nest, part of the story. You need to grab the vine to open the door to the tree-like house, then climb to the top and search the chest for the feather. You lose this power early on but gain it again as part of the story later. It can’t be missed.
This is your main attacking ability. This one cannot be missed, it is unlocked through story progress. After you defeat the Howler and enter the Howlers Nest, drop to the bottom and travel to the right to find a large tree. Interact with the glowing orb inside.
The legendary Double Jump. This is one of the most important skills for navigating each area in Ori and the Will of the Wisps. It’s available quite early, but you’ll still need to play for 30-45 minutes before you get there. You learn it at Inkwater Marsh, at the location where Ori is standing above.
All attacks now deal 25% more damage. You can’t get this ability until you are further into the story and heading to The Burrows. There’s a flower music puzzle here. Play the solution backwards to open the door that’s blocking the spirit tree.
This is towards the end of the game, after you have all the Wisps and the deeper parts of Silent Wood become available. Launch yourself in any direction.
Early in your Ori adventure your progress will be blocked by piles of twigs. In this guide we explain How To Get Past Piles Of Twigs In Ori And The Will Of The Wisps as it's a reoccurring mechanic that will often require you to find nearby resources to free the blockades in the path ahead.
Double Jump is a vital skill in Ori but how do you unlock it? In this guide we explain Where To Learn Double Jump In Ori And The Will Of The Wisps as, with all metroidvania games, the ability to jump higher opens up a ton of new areas to explore.
Poisonous red or pinky-like water litters Inkwater Marsh. This guide explains How To Drain The Poisonous Red Water In Ori And The Will Of The Wisps. Once the water has been drained, you can survive in areas you previously could not access, allowing Ori to explore more areas and learn more abilities.
You need to find the eyes of the statue to progress in Ori. This guide explains Where To Find The Statues Eye Stones In Ori And The Will Of The Wisps as you will need to collect two eye stones for the statue in order to progress, but both of them are hidden quite well.
Blaine "Captain Camper" Smith is one of the original founders of Gamers Heroes. Now operating under the guise of Editor-in-Chief (purely because we felt the position was needed for public relations purposes), he's tasked with a lot of the kind of jobs that would put you to sleep at your desk.
When he's not catching some Zs, you'll likely find him arguing points he knows nothing about, playing the latest rogue-like he'll never complete, or breaking something on the website that never needed fixing.
