In Pokemon Magikarp Jump you will sometimes get Random Encounters that will benefit you in some way. These events are random but their effects are not. Check out this Pokemon Magikarp Jump Random Encounter Event List to learn what you have to look forward to.
This is one of the first events you will get and it is after you finish training your Magikarp. A random guy will appear an the will give you a Nugget that you sell for some coins. This one is somewhat common, I’ve gotten it multiple times.
This one happened after I lost a battle in the league battles. A girl appeared after you lose and say “Well you tried your best” and you will get a training point for this. So now you can train you Magikarp again.
Another one that can sometimes happen after you complete training. The mayor will come by and massage your Magikarp and it will regain a training point for it. This basically means you will get a free training session.
After a training session my trainer said “Let’s take the long way home” and we ended up near a fruit tree. Here you will have a choice, jump to get a fruit or to leave it. If you leave you just leave, no problem and you get a small boost to jump for resting. If you jump your Magikarp will jump depending on its Jump stat. At level 10 my Magikarp just jumped up to the first fruit and grabbed one, jump distance was 1.94k. This berry can be very useful on the normal Magikarp pattern because it gets a boost to event jump gain and this is an event.
After doing four of these, I jumped with a new Magikarp and it was snagged up by Pidgey. I assume it was eaten because I lost that Magikarp and had to get a new one. If you have a strong Magikarp it may be best to not do this.
Another one that happens after a training mission. You will swim home and there will be a shiny thing in the water. You will get a choice to Leave it or Snag it. The first time I ate it, it was glass and I lost jumping power.
The second time it was some Diamonds. If you choose to eat it you either get diamonds or lose your training bonus by eating glass. If you ignore it you get a small boost to jump.
This was another one I got after training but it was after the Quick League. Magikarp gets lost on the way home. You will have to choose to wait here or to search.
The first time I had mine search and it made it back to me for a bonus to Jump.
When I waited the mayor found my Magikarp and brought it home and I got a minor jump bonus.
This is another event you get after training, once you beat the Quick League. A random Pokeball is on the floor and you can either pick it up or skip it. If you leave it, you leave with no problems.
The first time I opened it, I got 12 coins. The second time I opened it, it turned into a Voltorb and it retired my Gold Magikarp. The third time I got 82 coins so the coins seem to be random or based on Generation because this was two generations ahead.
This was another event that popped up after training. It seems that one of your friend Pokemon and your Magikarp battle a Pokemon and if they win you get a jump boost. I didn’t lose so I don’t know what happens if you lose.
I got this one after I beat the quick league but you might be able to get it before that. After a training session we took hte long way home and you get the option to scold Magikarp or let him be for slacking.
The first time I scolded him he ran off and I lost some Jump. Each time after he got mad and lost jump, not scolding him seems to be the best method here.
When I left him alone, he just went home and got some rest which increased my Jump.
This was done after I beat the Great League and after training. You get the option to drink a Mystery Drink or to run away.
The drink can be very helpful but it can also lose you Jump. If you drink it and you are out of training points, it can restore ALL of them. If it doesn’t restore your points though you will lose some drink. This is one I’d risk if I needed more training points because the lost to jump isn’t massive.
If you run away you get a minor boost to jump for free.
This one can be found after losing a match during the Expert League. The lady with the Ipad walks up to you and asks to take your Magikarp to equip it with a new device.
The first time I said yes Magikarp could gain an extra level, instead of 55 it could become 56.
