Magnus is the name given to creatures that inhabit the world of RE: Legend. Most of these creatures can be tamed, adding them to your party so they can follow you in to combat or help at the farm. It’s quite a simple but elegant system, all the details can be found below.
RE: Legend Taming Guide
Every Magnus has special requirements, items that you need in order to obtain them. This feature is unlocked at the start of the game when you meet Draconewt, so we’ll use that little critter as an example. The Draconewt likes Tasty Meat, among other things. You need to add the bait to your tool bar and then select it.Once selected, be careful not to press the same button or you will eat it. Once you are holding the item, right click to throw the item at the Magnus. If enough Affection has been reached, a small heart icon appears over the Magnus’s head. If it does not, you need to feed it more. Once the heart has appeared, approach the Magnus and follow the prompt to mount it.
This starts a rodeo mini-game. You need to press the direction of the arrows that appear on the circle. They can switch fast, so pay attention. Once you complete this mini-game, you have tamed the Magnus. You can then mount and fight with the Magnus or press G to dismount.
Not all Magnus like the same food. You can check the Magnuspedia menu for details on what each Magnus likes to eat.
