After you clear your first camp you will be greeted by a bandit that was hiding inside a tent. He comes out unarmed, so he is no threat. This is where the game introduces the Honor system from Red Dead Redemption 2. It works much of the same in Red Dead Online. Making the “good guy” choice will result in a more positive Honor rating whereas doing the “bad guy” thing, will result in the opposite.The first choice here is special because it provides quite a large boost in either direction. You get the treasure map either way so base your decision on whether you want to become famous or infamous. If you kill the Bandit you will lose a good chunk of honor, about 15%. If you spare the Bandit, you will gain about the same amount in positive Honor.
