Above the Main Hall in the RPD of Resident Evil 2 is another locked safe. This Resident Evil 2 Waiting Room Safe Combination Guide will tell you where to find the safe within the Waiting Room and the combination required to open it.

You can reach this room very early in Resident Evil 2. Take the stairs in the Main Hall to the top and then search the Eastern side. There’s a single door that leads to the Waiting Room. There’s a pamphlet on the table and behind the desk, is a locked safe.

When opening a safe, it’s important that you follow the directions precisely. The direction you turn the dial is equally as important as the number you need to stop on. Follow the instructions below to open the safe.

  • Left 6
  • Right 2
  • Left 11

To clarify. You press left until you reach number 6, then you press right until you reach number 2. Finally, press left until you reach number 11. Only then should you hit the confirmation button which will open the safe, revealing the contents inside. Once you open the safe you will find a High-Capacity Mag for the JMB HP3. If you are playing as Leon you will get a Muzzle Brake for his Matilda instead.
