This will be your first upgrade and it is a key weapon in the game. You will need to go to the Outskirts Wall – Gate Path in the Ashina Outskirts. When you load in, there is a broken part of the wall above the gate in front of you. Use your grapple to go over there and enter the broken part of the wall, the corpse inside will have the Loaded Shuriken upgrade. Return to the man in the Buddha temple and he will attach it to your arm. It isn’t very strong but it is very quick, use it to take down weak enemies quickly or interrupt strong ones.
You will need 500 Sen to buy this one. You can buy it from Crow’s Bed Memorial Mob near the old lady NPC and the dying man NPC in Ashina. You have to use your Grapple Hook near the dying NPC to climb the mountain near him, at the top there is a man in the tent. Speak to him and he will sell you the fire cracker, he also says DO not use it near him.
The Flame Vent can be found in the Hirata Estate area, near the Estate Path way point. Take the path forward and then go through the right side of the wall. This will lead to building with some enemies walking around. I recommend you kill them so you can retreat to this area if you need. Jump the next wall and you are in a place with a few small buildings and an archer on the roof. Stealth kill the archer and look down to see some guys near a fire. The item you need is in that fire. Kill the baddies and claim it. Or lure them away, grab the item and run.
The Mist Raven attachment is super easy to miss. Warp to the Bamboo Thicket Slope waypoint and go forward until you can grapple a ledge. Grapple up and keep going until you end up in the water. Swim up stream until you can hook out of the water into some bamboo on a tiny ledge. Follow that ledge to the end and there is a bamboo blockade you can cut through in the wall. Cut it open and ninja jump to the top of the area. There is a shrine up there that you can open up with this tool inside. The ninja that protects this area is no joke, lure him away if you can’t beat him and then open the door.
The Loaded Umbrella can be bought from Blackhat Badger. Blackhat Badger is a merchant you can find in Ashina Castle. Head to the Old Grave way point and look over the ledge. Below you will see a large roof with a hole in it. Inside there you can find Blackhat Badger. There are enemy Samurai on the ground level though, so make sure you hit the roof.
