Super Mario Odyssey Sand Kingdom Moon Locations
These are going to be all in order but some are missing at the moment.
The second objective in the Sand Kingdom. You need to find five Moon pieces to create a Moon. They are all in this little area,
take over one of the statues and use the glasses to find hidden bridges and paths to take.
The third objective you get in Sand kingdom. Clear the Inverted Pyramid and beat the boss at the top for three Moons. Toss her bombs back at her and then jump on her to damage her.
The last objective in this area so it can’t be missed. Go down the hole and beat the boss for another three Moons. Make his fist slam into ice and then use your hat on it. From there punch him in the face three times to beat him.
This is a real simple moon. Head here on the map, in the town if the name wasn’t enough of a hint. Use the Flower at the side or the power lines to get on top of the roof here and there is a Moon at the top.
On your way up to the Tower with the moon you will come across this one. You need to take over a bullet bill in order to get it.
Is found here on the map.
Also can be found on your way up to the tower Moon. After you jump over the first set of sand geysers, there are some crates you can break. Break them and a Moon will cross to gap to some other Ruins. Use a BulletBill to cross and grab the Moon, you can wait for another Bill to come after you to cross back.
This is at the Oasis in the Desert. when you get over there, take over the fishing Lakatu and go to the big mound of dirt. Fish there and you will find another Moon.
While you are traveling through the desert you will run into a human who got his car stuck in some ice. Behind the care are some packages. Break the one that is shining and ground pound to get another Moon.
Head here on the map and then clear the maze below. Use your hat on the scarecrow up top and a challenge will appear. Use crouch and Y to roll under the low parts then wall jump to the top to get the Moon.
This is a second Moon you can find in the Oasis. Up one of the palm trees, you will find a music note. Grab it and then get the smaller notes to spawn a Moon for you to collect.
Toad and his Moon can be found here on the map. You need to get the Fishing Lakatu down at the Oasis and fish him up here. When the controller rumbles more than normal that is when you reel him in. He is the big one, the small one is a cheep that gives you a heart.
I’m not 100% sure if you need to melt the ice first or not but I did this one after I melted the ice. In the town in The Sand Kingdom, there is a slot mini-game. You need to line up the moons and hit them all with your hat to get it. I made a video showing you how I did it if you are having trouble.
This one can be a bit tricky. You need to walk the circle but the arrows disappear after a few seconds. Use the bushes and cacti to help guide you after the circle disappears. What I mean by that is, use them to remember where the blue line was.
At this location on the map you will run into a Sphynx. Talk to it and answer “Ring” for it to open the path. Inside there is a chest with a Moon and some coin stacks you can grab.
This one can be got very early, in fact, it was my first one. Use the flower on the side of this part of the town map to get on the roofs. There is a pipe there, inside you need to ground pound at this location to find the Moon under the floor.
You will need the Sombrero and the Poncho to get this Moon. when you have it, there is a locked door on the ground level of the town that you can open by talking to the guy outside, make sure you have the clothes equipped. Just stand in the center of the stage once you are inside and the moon is yours.
You need to be able to drive a Jaxi to do this Moon. The Jaxi can be found at the town in the area and can be rented for 30 coins. Head here on the map and go into the structure in the poison with the Jaxi. This will warp you down below and into a challenge room. You need to ride the Jaxi to the center and then grab the music note in the area. Get all the other notes within the time to spawn the first moon in the area.
You need to be able to drive a Jaxi to do this Moon. The Jaxi can be found at the town in the area and can be rented for 30 coins. Head here on the map and go into the structure in the poison with the Jaxi. Get all the way to the end of the challenge room below for another Moon.
The ice has to be broken before you can get this moon. After this ice is gone, go to the roofs of the town and there is a rocket up there. Use Cappy and complete the challenge in that area to get the Moon.
