Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Explore Guide
Exploration is a feature you can unlock to send your Spirits on treasure hunting missions. This Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Explore Guide explains the different aspects of the Explore feature including the best way to get the most treasure from each run, where to find the different Explore spots and more.
Exploring is an activity much likes Gyms and Dojos. You explore the World of Light in Adventure Mode and occasionally discover Master Spirits. These unique Spirits are unlike other Spirits. They do not join your Party and cannot be placed into your team, however they do have a function. Once you have defeated the Spirit and freed the Master Spirit, you have access to that Master Spirits location. Some of these locations are Explore spots.

Once you have discovered an Explore location, you can assign up to 4 unique Spirits to send them out to Explore. When assigning a Spirit look for the glowing arrows. These signal that those particular spirits will excel in exploring at that location.Other elements also influence the chances of finding better and more valuable treasure. Whether or not Spirits are proficient in that area, the number of Spirits you send, their level, their rarity and their condition. The best way of getting the most loot is to send the highest level Spirits that have proficiency in that area.
The vast majority of items you will discover are Adventure Mode Items, special items that are not actually used in Adventure Mode. Instead they are used to capture Spirits on the Spirit Board.
Each location also requires a different amount of time to complete so be cautious when sending your best Spirits out for long periods.
