Some weapons in The Last of Us Part 2 are available from the beginning of the game while others are unlocked once they are found. Most of the weapons are very difficult to miss but some of the more unique weapons can be skipped if you do not know where to look.
The Last Of Us Part 2 Weapon Location Guide
Most weapons can be discovered more that once so it’s not a big problem if you missed any in the original location, although most of the weapons are introduced via the story and are very difficult to miss. For the more powerful weapons available later in the game, we’ll be sure to provide more information on where they can be found as we progress.Ellie
- Semi Automatic Pistol – Automatically unlocked
- Long Rifle – Automatically unlocked
- Revolver – Unlocked in the story after Ellie visits Joel’s house. It’s in the box on his bed.
- Shotgun – Head to this location and go into the bank and open the vault
- Bow – During Hillcrest, it’s part of the story, you can’t miss it.
- Silent SMG – Unlocked at the resort, cannot be missed.
Abby
- Semi Automatic Pistol – Automatically unlocked
- Semi Automatic Rifle – Unlocks when you begin Abby’s part of the story
- Double Barreled Shotgun – Automatically unlocked on the mission where you are trying to find Owen. Can’t be missed.
- Hunting Pistol – After you escape capture and then flee the forest, you fight a large lady with an Axe. Defeat her and then head into the autoshop. The pistol is on the table. You have to come to this room for the story.
- Crossbow – When Abby reaches the huge ship (It’s part of the story, cannot be missed)
- Flamethrower – In the skyscraper building. Descend into the spores area, after you find the kid a gas mask. You have to cross a couple of beams and go through a slightly opened door. Cross another beam into a crawl space and you arrive in the bathroom. A flamethrower is in there. You have to walk right past the slightly opened door for progression so it’s tough to miss.
