Trials Of Mana Pay Watts 5k Or Don’t Pay Him
Pay The 5k
If you pay watts the 5k, he will hand over the fuel that you came in for. He will then mention that he has to go find a gnome and be on his way. You try to stop him, but he leaves before you can. Your reward outside of the fuel is his Chain Ability Blacksmith. This ability increases you equipment stats by 5% when you enter any battle. At this early stage it isn’t the biggest boost but in the later stages of the game it can be useful. You won’t be able to leave either way, you need to find the Gnome before you can exit the area. We tried to find Watts later and see if we could rebuy the move, but it doesn’t look like you get a chance to.
Dont Pay 5k
You might not even have 5k to spare so this will probably be your default option. If you don’t pay, he doesn’t give you the fuel and goes deeper into the cave. You have to chase him down and help him find his gnome. Naturally, there is a boss fight in the area and you have to defeat that first. When the boss is dead, you find the gnome and get the fuel you came in here for originally. You do not get Watts Chain Ability move this way.
