Watch Dogs 2 Side Operations Guide

This one is actually connected to a Main Op so you can’t miss it.

You have to go hack Bobo Dakes’ phone in San Mateo. It is really easy to just walk up and hack his phone at his house. After that you have to go to another house and hack into someones house. When you do that, plant the virus on his labtop on the left and the computer on his right and then hack his phone. Now you can sit back and watch the event unfold.

This one is actually pretty close to the finish of the last Side Op. I was trying to be a jerk and do all the bad things to see if it changed the outcome of the mission, it didn’t. I think it just wanted to show you what someone with something like this could possibly do. Overall I just felt like a menace after I did it, but it was still fun.

The Op giver will want you to test an exploit on ATM machines. When you get to the ATM you will have to make the choice to Pay him or Pay his alimony with his money. You can select by looking down at the number pads. You can then Pre pay his Alimony for one full year, the reaction is pretty funny. It’s your call in the end though. You will have to test it on a second ATM after that. Here you can make the guy donate money and flag him for Fraud if you want, or just give him the money. I used a stun gun to take down the guards near the terminal. The third one is on a roof, you have to climb on the other side of the building to gain access to it. The third woman you can mess with by giving her the wrong currencies, or be a nice guy and pay her tuition.

The next one is a bit tricky to get to. Go to the west side of the building and you can jump p that way. Get up higher on the roof and then drop down at the ATM console. An old rude man comes in and you get to mess with him if you want. You can make him donate money and Flag him for Fraud if you want. You will need to ability to control Lifts in order to access the next one. If you have it, the lift is right around the corner, near the oddly shaped building with a ton of windows. Move it into position and hack the panel. A punk will come in and you can take money from him or give him money. The last choice is delete his account or give him shares, I deleted his account.

You can find the next panel on top of a small roof, use the little electrical terminal to jump up. A kind of odd lady hops in this time. Again, the first options are give or take money. Last choice is give her 1000 or flag her for Fraud. You can find the next terminal at the Port. A Tv Actor walks in an acts a bit smug. You can either give him cash or have him donate cash as the first option. The last choice is Make it rain or empty his account, I picked Make it rain to see what happened. The ATM shoots 1000$ out at him, it’s pretty funny.

This one can be found here on the map, just hack it to start the mission up. Apparently there is some history here with some earlier hackers. This is San Fran, near the Fine Arts place.

Head to the building and go in the front entrance. You can find the objective in the back room. A little laser puzzle will pop up and you have to complete it. I took a couple of pictures to show my walls when I was done. My biggest tip for this, unlock all the locked ones first then focus on the puzzle.

This next part you will need the Flying Drone for, it is up on the bridge and you can’t see it from the roof. There are 6 dishes in all you need to follow. Admittedly I didn’t try hard to get the first one on foot, so it might be possible to get without the drone. When you finally reach the end, you erase all the data of those who made it there before you.

Hack the guys phone and he will talk about leaking something. You will need to hack Lift ability to get up to the roof of this one. When you get up to the roof, hack the box and you will be in the office. Use the computers to hack your way through the office and get your reward.

This one is way easier with the Flying drone, if not you can climb the buildings to access the phones. After you get all three you will have to get into Gang territory for the last phone to hack. The mission ends here but it leaves it open to another one later.

If you haven’t invested in the Flying Drone yet, you really should. It makes missions like these super easy. If you don’t have it, you need to use a Lift to get close enough to hack with your phone. when you get to the Tower you actually need the Drone because the Stingray is up on the top of the Tower. There is one last point to hack at the pier. You can use the lift to gain access or just use the stairs at the back of the area.

This mission opens up after you beat “Stolen Signals” or after you hit the 700K follower mark. It seems to have something to do with the last mission so I assumed it was because of that. To access the bank, go around the building and climb the scaffolding. When you hack the terminal, switch cameras on the computers until you can hack the computer. For his home you will need to hack the lift and take it up. Use the Moveable lift on the other side to gain access to the lift on the roof and hack the home.

Now you have to save the man before her jumps. Go to the terminal marked and you will gain access to a camera near the jumper. First use his phone, which is right next to him. After that hack his laptop and then use his phone again. When it is finished you will be contacted by someone via text.

This mission unlocks after you finish Whistleblower. Use your Hacker vision at the dock to find the hackable jammer. Next you can go hack a terminal outside someones house and then hack his answering machine.

Now you have to hack two phones. One is in enemy territory, but you can hack them from range without any trouble. You can also just kill everyone in the area and hack the phone that way if you want. The other guy you can just walk up to and hack. A third person will pop up so you also have to hack after that. The last hack of the mission is enemy gang territory. You can use the drone to hack this one since it isn’t physical.

The first step is to hack a phone in gang territory. You can use your drone or sneak in. When that is done, head to the next way point. In order to get to the next hack point you will have to use the Rover to gain access. The next objective is heading into more enemy territory. You have to psychically hack this point so fight your way down and do it. Hack the guards phone when he passes and then escape to complete the mission.

Head to the back alley and climb up to the hack point. This will trigger a line puzzle, but it’s pretty simple. Hack the psychical terminal and you will be in the building. Hack the laptop inside to get the next objective.

Now head to the next marker and hack the terminal there. It is in enemy territory so you will have to fight or sneak, your call but the Rover can hack these. Hack the PDA inside and you will wrap up the mission.

Find the IT guy and hack his phone to get the next objective. This guy is a bust, so head to the second target for the code. Now you need to enter enemy territory for another hack. There is a guy near the hack that will call for backup, so be sure to deal with him. When the system is hacked, place the virus on the laptop and back out. Now you have to go hack something in the parking garage. Use the Rover to get under the fence and open the door for you. Plant the Malware on the terminal and wait for the next objective.

You will need a car or bike for this next part. You have to stay within range of both the CFO and CEO for a certain amount of time until the DL completes. They will start to drive erratically after awhile, but on a Bike it is easy to keep up with them. I didn’t kill them, but my guess is you fail if that happens.

Someone is doxing Dedsec members and you have to help stop it. In order to do that you will have to hack a few phone booths in the city, don’t worry they are marked one your map. The civic cent one was a bit tricky, it is to the north west of that area. Use your hacker vision to help you find it. The next hack you can either fly your drone up to, or go up to it via the back alley. The next on is a psychical hack and it comes with a minor light puzzle. The only new thing here is the reboot block, move it to reset the reboot.

The next hack is in enemy territory and you will have two hacks here, it is worth taking the guys down to make it easier. There is also a green research node inside.

I must of missed this one unlocking after a previous mission. It has to do with the NSA so I think it is connected to the ones we did earlier. The hack you need will be in enemy territory again. This time you need to take the guys down and then use a driveable lift near there to get access to the roof. There will be a small light puzzle, we have a video if you want a hand.

Once inside the camera, keep changing until you can see the computer screen clearly and hack it. Now you have the location of the target you are after. The next area actually has an armored guy in it, choke him out. There are also two robots you will have to deal with, stun gun can disable them if need be. Hack the terminal and then hack the phone inside for the key you need. Hack the two things inside and you are free to leave.

Someone has been jacking up the prices of living expenses, time to find out who. Four more boxes pop up, you know the drill by now. If you are stumped on the light puzzles we made a couple videos for you.

I’m not 100% sure this is a Side Op, but it was orange to me.

Hack the terminal and save the guys life. First, hack his phone to hear the message. Second, honk his horn to get the neighbors attention, I spammed it. Third, use the fan to clear out some exhaust until the neighbor gets tot he garage door. Lastly, when the neighbor is at the door, open it to save his life.

You get this around 270000 followers, at least that’s how I think it triggered. You will need to use the driveable lift across the street in the parking loot to access this mission. I made videos for these because they can be tricky to access and writing up how is also tricky. Sorry about the first set, figured there’d only be one. This one drags on a bit, just a warning

Tagging the bridge is easy, just use the lifts on the side to get up to the top.

Head over to the marker and use your power to torment this poor girl.

This mission can be found in San Fran, I found it during the Cyberdriver mission.

Climb up the building and hack the terminal. This guy is pretty funny to mess with. I used the phone a couple times to prank call 911. You do have to move kind of quick because I got cut off from the feed randomly.

This mission is unlocked after you do the story mission related to the Haum area, it’s a pretty early one. Head over to the way marker and hack the terminal. You can go around and jump up on the back end of the house. Hack his phone next to his screen a couple times and he will open up the electric box next to him. Plant the virus in there and you complete the mission.

This mission is unlocked after you do the story mission related to the Haum area as well. Run up the marker and hack the box. Mess with the guys treadmill until he flies off.

You will unlock this mission after a certain story mission. Head to the way point and talk to the woman in front of the building. Now you have to hack three phones in the area, I just used the Drone. Head to the next hack point and climb up to activate it. Upload the virus to their server and leave the area. Your next objective has you destroying some of their equipment. I is protected, so deal with the guards and blow up the boxes. You can use guns or explosives on them. That will wrap this mission up.

This will unlock as you progress through the story. Head over to the way point and talk to the social worker. Now you have to hack a junction box, you know the drill. Thankfully a gang fight happened when I arrived so everyone was dead in the area for me, you might have to fight though. Profile the five clues after this, they are easily found in Hacker Vision. This next part is pretty fun, you set up an ambush. I used explosives and stun grenades and waiting for them to get into position to detonate. You can also use the stuff around the area to do some damage. When you are clear, steal the car and head up into the woods to lose your enemies. Return the car to the way point for the next objective.

Head to the next objective and set up another ambush. This time you need to destroy the vans so explosives around the vehicles are okay. Next you set up another ambush but this time at the docks. You need to keep the yellow vehicle up for this one. After you complete that, warp to Alcatraz. This next part is annoying. You have to free a guy and then escape. I used my drone to get the key and open the door. Then I cleared the top floor, saved the guy, escaped via the lift on the roof and got in a boat and drove away.
