There are many different kinds of Spirits in the game but What Are Master Spirits In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? This guide will explain the basics of Master Spirits, as unlike other Spirits, you cannot equip them or add them to your party, they serve another function entirely.

Spirits come in a variety of forms in Adventure Mode. You have Primary and Support Spirits, you have Spirits or all rarities up to 4 star, but those kinds of Spirits are different. Those can be added to your Party to provide various buffs, bonuses and effects. Master Spirits are somewhat different.

What Are Master Spirits In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Unlike Primary and Support Spirits, Master Spirits are not unlocked for use when discovered. Like any other Spirit, there is a battle before you are able to obtain the Master Spirit. The battles are typically simple battles, so you shouldn’t have many problems.

Once a Master Spirit has been defeated, you will then be able to access that Master Spirits location. For example, in the image above I am about to fight Slowpoke Master Spirit. After I win the battle, I gain access to Slowpoke’s Location. In this case, it’s a special Dojo location that let’s me teach other Spirits new fighting styles. You will find Exploration Locations, Gym’s, Dojo’s, Stores, all guarded by Master Spirits.
