Corsair Down is a random item you can collect that enters into your Pursuits section of your inventory. While its drop rate is random, there’s a very high chance of getting it if you participate in the Divalian Mist Public Event. It’s a difficult event with the suggested Light Level of 540 but even if you fail, you can still often loot yourself a Corsair Down item.
What To Do With Corsair Down In Destiny 2: Forsaken
This is where the challenging aspect comes into play. You need to discover the location of a lost body. If you inspect your Corsair Down item in your Pursuits section of your inventory, it will give you a slight clue as to where you need to go. You need to search deep inside the Cathedral. Harbingers Seclude. The exact location of the body changes.

The Lost Sector North West of The Strand. We were unable to travel far due to the 560 Light Level requirement.
You get the Corsair Down very early but it’s much easier to wait until 550ish Light Level so you can freely explore without fear of death. Once you find the body, scan it and defeat the boss.
