The Fisherman’s Gambit is one of the longer quest in the gaming, spanning several chapters that task you with locating and catching a certain number of a very specific fish. For this particular stage the old fisherman asks you to find and catch Black Bass, a huge and rare fish that requires you to go back to your roots.

You need to head back to your village, the protagonists village. Once you return to the village, travel South to the large body of water. There’s a small beach that lets you fish into the body of water and this is where you can catch Black Bass.
The bait you will need is the basic Lure, so you don’t need to stop up on bait. Thankfully you only need to catch 5 Black Bass but unfortunately, they can be tough to catch. The bar moves very slowly so it can take a few seconds to reel in each one. However, they appear to be the only fish you can catch here with a Lure, so you should be able to get all 5 Black Bass relatively quickly.
After you finish the first half of the game, you can speak with the Fisherman to get the next quest, that’s to catch 3 Sandfish.
