The Fisherman’s Gambit is an ongoing series of side quests that flows throughout much of the game. There are eight stages of the quest in total, each stage requiring you to locate a specific fish and catch enough to keep the old man happy. Once you’ve collected all the fish for an objective, return to the old man in Seafront and, after a brief cut-scene, he will advance your fishing ability so you can catch bigger and better fish quicker and easier.

Catching Bream is relatively easy compared to some of the previous quests in the chain. Bream only require basic bait, your Lure, so you don’t need to stock up and spend cash on the bait that disappears after each catch or during certain fails. Once you’ve got your Lure ready, head toward Seafront.

Once you’re in Seafront head to the old man by the beach, the old fisherman. You can cast your Lure here into the water and you can catch Bream. The next step in the quest is to catch 5 Black Bass.
