Where To Catch Magikarp In Pokemon Legends Arceus

Gyarados is one of the first generations strongest Pokemon. This guide on Where To Catch Magikarp In Pokemon Legends Arceus will tell you everything you need to know about catching your first Magikarp so you can either evolve it to Gyarados or complete the Request.

As well as being the primary method of having the awesome Gyarados, catching Magikarp has another function in Pokemon Legends Arceus. Request #52 – Coming Up Roses, a Request that becomes available after you have unlocked the ability to swim on water, requires you to catch a Magikarp to complete it.

Follow our Pokemon Legends Arceus Requests Guide to complete all Requests as you get them.

Where To Catch Magikarp In Pokemon Legends Arceus
So far, we’ve only found Magikarp in a single location, the Lake Verity in Obsidian Fieldlands. You require the ability to ride on water to reach the Magikarp, there is also an Alpha Gyarados in the area, so watch out for that. When you are riding on the back of your Pokemon you can interact as you normally would. You can throw Pokemon to battle or throw Pokeballs. Magikarp are very docile. They won’t flee or start a fight. They will either just sit there staring at you, or them may come over to greet you.

Either way, simple throw a Pokeball at Magikarp and you’re almost guaranteed to catch it.

Blaine "Captain Camper" Smith is one of the original founders of Gamers Heroes. Now operating under the guise of Editor-in-Chief (purely because we felt the position was needed for public relations purposes), he's tasked with a lot of the kind of jobs that would put you to sleep at your desk. When he's not catching some Zs, you'll likely find him arguing points he knows nothing about, playing the latest rogue-like he'll never complete, or breaking something on the website that never needed fixing.
