The quest A Signature Dish is a quest from the Tavern Keeper in Seafront. She asks you to help gather ingredients so she can make a signature dish for the patrons of the tavern. She asks you to track down 10 Medicinal Herbs, 10 Wheat, and 10 Sardines. Most of these ingredients are relatively simple to get, but the Sardine’s can be a pain.
Where To Catch Sardine’s In NieR Replicant Ver1.22
Before you and your rod go on your merry way, head to the Fishing Shop in Seafront and pick yourself up some bait. It’s in the center of town, near the bar, marked by the fishing rod icon. If you plan on doing a lot of fishing or completing The Fisherman’s Gambit quest, you’re going to need a lot, so feel free to stock up on both. If you’re just here for the Sardine’s however, just buy yourself 20-30 Lugworms.
Once you have the Lugworms head to the West side of town, the beach near the Lighthouse. There’s a few seals and some NPC’s hovering around. Head to the waters edge and cast your rod. Make sure to use Lugworm bait if you want to catch Sardines.
This quest can be a little frustrating as the Lugworms also catch another type of fish but the drop rate of the Sardine’s feels around 80%, so it shouldn’t take you too long to find them. If you’re here for the Signature Dish quest, make sure you grab the Fisherman’s Gambit quest from the old fisherman on the other beach in town first, as he asks you to collect 10 Sardine’s also.
The next quest from the Fisherman is to catch Blowfish.
