Before you’re able to complete this quest, I would advise that you complete The Fisherman’s Gambit. It’s a very long quest that spans across both halves of the game but each time you complete one of the stages, it increases your ability to fish. This lets you catch bigger fish easier as it’s nearly impossible to catch Shark unless you level up your fishing by completing the quest. I would suggest completing all of the quests available from the Fisherman before continuing.
Where To Catch Sharks In NieR Replicant Ver1.22
In order to catch yourself some Shark, you’re going to need the proper bait. You can either catch Sardines yourself or, once you’ve caught enough, they are added to the fishing shop at Seafront, so you can buy them there if you don’t have any to hand.
Once you’ve got some Sardines head to Seafront and stand near the old man, the man that gives you The Fisherman’s Gambit quest. Then simply cast into the water below. Sharks can take a few seconds to catch but with the Sardines as bait, they are nearly guaranteed, so it won’t take you long before you have enough to complete the quest.
