Chaos Flames are a rare resource used to upgrade your Blades of Chaos. This guide will tell you Where To Find Chaos Flames In God Of War so you can learn where to find them, when you can use them and when you are able to upgrade your Chaos Blades and learn more abilities.
Chaos Flames are very similar to Frozen Flames. Frozen Flames are used to upgrades your axe while Chaos Flames are used to upgrade your Blades of Chaos. You are not able to collect Chaos Flames until you have progressed far enough through the story to have unlocked the Chaos Blades. From that point, specific enemies or special encounters will drop Chaos Flames. Below is a list of the Chaos Flame locations we’ve discovered so far.
Where To Find Chaos Flames In God Of War
Chaos Flame #1
On your first visit to Hel when you defeat the Bridgekeeper boss.
Chaos Flame #2
Through story progression. Once you are inside Tyr’s Temple and you locate the Black Rune you are attacked by two giants. Once they are killed, you can collect your first Chaos Flame from the corpse of one of the giants.
Chaos Flame #3
In the story, when you return to Hel a second time you will fight a Traveler. You cannot miss the fight. This rewards you with your third Chaos Flame.
Chaos Flame #4
The final Chaos Flame is only available after you complete the game. You must unlock and complete the Muspelheim Arena. At the top of the arena is a Valkyrie. Once defeated the Valkyrie will drop a Raging Inferno of Muspelheim. You can go to the blacksmiths shop and, inside the buy resources tab, you can trade the Raging Inferno of Muspelheim for the final Chaos Flame.
