This does require the Isle of Armor DLC so you need to have the Expansion Pass and access to the Isle of Armor. Apart from that, this island is immediately available to explore. There are other Pokemon on the island, but they are not aggressive. This means you can chain Ditto far easier than you could in the previous areas of Sword & Shield, that were always full of aggressive Pokemon.

Where To Find New Ditto Island In Pokemon Sword & Shield

It’s to the South East of the Train Station. An island out to sea. You can reach it immediately after you arrive on the island. There’s a lot of Ditto here, plenty to farm if you want to chain for Shiny Ditto, or perhaps even a good IV Ditto. It’s quite a long travel through the water and there are plenty of aggressive water Pokemon that will attack you on the journey, so make sure you’re prepared with your primary slot Pokemon to take them down. The Ditto spawns are overworld spawns so there’s no random luck involved.

There’s also some Exeggcute that spawn on the island, alongside some other Pokemon. But it is very much mostly Ditto. There is also a den on this island, a brand new Max Raid Ditto den.
