Once you have completed the castle and return to the village you will have new areas to explore with the Iron Insignia Key. Some of these are optional areas with new items to find, if you have the space, but you also need to use it to progress through the village and reach a new area so you can continue the story. You are trying to reach the house with the red chimney, which is actually right in the center of the village, near the Maiden of War.
Where To Find Red Chimney House In Resident Evil 8 Village
Unfortunately, you cannot reach the house from the Maiden of War statue until you have opened the shortcut. You need to head South East towards the Workshop. Once you are inside the workshop there is a combination lock that you need to open. Inside the locked cupboard is a fully automatic pistol and also a lever. You use this lever to move the tractor that is blocking your path.
Once the tractor has been moved, you can follow the path to the house shown in the image above. There’s a small container on the table in the house. This gives you a key, useless by itself, but when combined with the two winged key, it gives you the 4 winged key you need to progress through the story.
- Finish the castle area and return to the village
- Use the Iron Insignia Key to enter the area near the Workshop and then enter the Workshop
- Open the combination lock and take the lever
- Use the lever to clear the obstacle blocking your path
