This is part of the main quest line that continues when you first reach Qalis. When you first approach the old lady at the lighthouse, she won’t talk with you. You have to complete a couple of other quests first and then speak with the people of the island. Open your map and you will see the locations of Pilly, Caleb, Noho, Brram, Edegan, and Onzo.
Where To Find The Novel In Summer In Mara
Before you can find the Novel you need to complete Brram’s first quest and Edegan’s first quest, so that your journal tells you to find two seashells and a Novel. The Seashells are on the shoreline, easy enough to find, but the Novel can be tricky.After completing Edegan’s quest you need to speak with Onzo. Your map has Onzo way to the North, near the Northern beach and the refill spot for your boat fuel. However, he is not at this location. Prior to completing Edegan’s quest, I was unable to find Onzo at all but once that quest was complete, he appears.
You need to speak with Onzo at the market in town. Right next to Pilly. When you speak with Onzo there you learn he is an adventurer and has some advice on all things Mara. Speak with him to obtain the Novel, you can then head to the Lighthouse and speak with Saimi to progress with the quest.
