Where To Get An Old Rod In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl
In order to get a fishing rod in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you will have to get to Jubilife City. This is a very early town so you will get there quickly.
Once you get there, take the route west towards Route 218 and enter the building there. Inside you will see a man with some fishing gear. He will ask you if you like fishing or something like that. Say yes and he will hand over an Old Rod, which you can use to fish up some Magikarp.
Now head to some water and go into your inventory to use the fishing rod. If you get a ! over your head then a Pokemon has bit the line. You need to then hit the reel in button and reel the Pokemon in. This will trigger a battle, so be ready to fight. Catch or beat the Pokemon to finish fishing. You can also set it to your hot bar and use it quickly if you want.
