The Apology from a Fool side quest asks you to hunt down Wolf Hides for a man in Facade. This guide on Where To Get Wolf Hides In NieR Replicant Ver1.22 will tell you an easy solution if you’ve been farming wolves for hours and haven’t had much luck gathering the hides.
So, first and foremost, let’s get the obvious out of the way. There are wolves all over the area just outside the Facade. They are high in number and aggressive, so they’ll track you down without a second thought. This makes it very easy to kill and farm large amounts of wolves in a very small amount of time but the drop rate for the Wolf Hide seems incredibly poor. I spent over 30 minutes fighting the wolves outside of the town and perhaps found 2-3 Wolf Hides, nowhere near enough as the quest requires 10.

The best way to get the Wolf Hides is to simply purchase them, but they are very expensive. It’s a good idea to farm the Wolves outside of town for as long as you can stomach it and then head into town and buy the remaining Wolf Hides from the merchant in Facade, where I’m standing in the map image above. You do get 20,000 Gold for completing the quest.
