Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Salvage Location Guide
What are Salvage Points all about? This Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Salvage Location Guide will explain the mechanics behind the Salvage Point feature so you can be sure to maximize your Cylinder use, perfect the mini-game and gather as much treasure a possible.
You unlock Salvage Points relatively early in the game, and they are introduced via the main story missions. Once you have completed the first Salvage Point, you are then able to find them scattered across the world. Every Salvage Point is unique, contains different loot and is in a different location.
Before you go seeking out Salvage Points, make sure you have ample supply of Cylinders. These can be purchased from various vendors throughout the game. There are different elements that influence the rarity and value of the loot. Below is a list of each of the different elements of Salvage Points, and how much the influence the outcome. This is not exact.
- Location – 60%
- Cylinder – 30%
- Mini-Game Results – 10%
Location is the most important aspect. You won’t get the greatest loot from areas near the start of the game, although using high quality Cylinders at those locations shifts the influence between Location and Cylinder almost completely. The final aspect, the mini-game, is a series of button pushes. You want to hit it within the final circle for the best bonuses.
