Where To Find Yellow Ghost Writer Ghoul In TribalStack Tropics
This one can be found near the very beginning of the level. Instead of heading up the ramp directly ahead of the starting point, take a right. Follow the walkway all the way down and you’ll come across the first Ghost Writer Ghoul

Where To Find Green Ghost Writer Ghoul In TribalStack Tropics
The second Ghost Writer Ghoul in the TribalStacks Tropics level can be found after you climb the slipper ramp near the start of the level. After the ramp take a right and follow the water around. You’ll notice the Green Ghost Writer Ghoul ahead. It runs around a little bit but just cut it off to catch it.

Where To Find Pink Ghost Writer Ghoul In TribalStack Tropics
The next Ghost Writer Ghoul can be found shortly after the slipper ramp near the start of the level. You’ll see a wooden bridge on the right, ignore that and continue forward. You’ll see a grassy platform and then some stone pillars leading up to a large rocky platform. Climb that to find the Purple Ghoul. You must have unlocked the special ability Slurp Shot. You can use it on a nearby plant and then feed the plant to make it so you’re able to collect the pink Ghoul.

Next up is the blue one. The easiest way to find this one is from Trowzer’s position. You also need to make sure you have purchased the Sonar Shot skill for 30 Quills. From Trowzer take a left out of the ruins down a slippery ramp. Continue forward, past the broken page and take a left. You’ll see a small clearing with several Quills making a circle. The blue Ghost Writer Ghoul is in the middle of the Quills, you need to use Sonar Shot to make it visible so you can pick it up.

The final Ghost Writer Ghoul on this map is near the top of the monument. You first have to expand TribalStack Tropics using Pagies. Once expanded head to the huge monument building towards the back of the level and climb it. Continue up the monument until you reach the top. Once at the top proceed past the initial enemies and eventually you’ll run into the red Ghoul with two smaller enemies. Take out the smaller enemies and then wait for the red Ghoul to lunge, when it does it becomes vulnerable. You can tell when it’s in a vulnerable state as it changes color. Hit it once to nab the Ghost Writer.

The first Ghost Writer on Glitterglaze Glacier can be found near the start. Progress through the area until you reach the Vendi Tonic lady. It’s also near Trowzer. You need to have purchased the Slurp State skill first. Head up the ramp behind where Vendi Tonic lady is standing and go all the way to the top. Use your tongue on the fire-lit brazier there to absorb the flame and then climb up the ledges ahead, jumping through the fire and down to the yellow Ghost Writer Ghoul.

The second Ghost Writer I came across on Glitterglaze Glacier was the green Ghoul. Whilst exploring you’ll come across a honey node attached to a tree. Very close by is a door that leads through to another area, which is initially filled with Igloos you can destroy for a quest. Before reaching the igloos drop down into the stream and swim through the hole underwater to find the green Ghoul.

The Blue Ghost Writer Ghoul in the Glitterglaze Glacier level can be found relatively close to Trowzer. When looking directly at the snake merchant, look all the way round to the left. You’ll see some ice platforms hugging the bottom of the cliff, there’s a Quill on the first once. Follow those all the way along until you see 3 Quills in a vertical line that finishes under the water. Use your Sonar skill under the water near the Quills to find the blue Ghost Writer on this level.

The Red Ghost Writer in Glitterglaze Glacier can be found near the beginning of the level. Up the ramp behind the Vendi Tonic lady is an area where you receive damage from the cold. You need to have the Slurp State skill first. Use it on the brazier and travel to the next brazier, jump inside it to ignite it. Fill up on Slurp State again and proceed to the next brazier. After that you’ll see the red Ghost Writer there.

Where To Find Pink Ghost Writer Ghoul In Glitterglaze Glacier
The pink Ghost Writer can be found in the far corner of the map, it’s very close to the area with the statue puzzle. If you’re not familiar with that area, it’s directly behind where Trowzer is standing, across the water. You need to have learned the Sonars Splosion skill to be able to free the pink Ghost Writer, which is available to learn in the next area – MoodyMaze Marsh. Once you have it learned return and climb up the slippery slopes past the statue challenge up to the left tower. The pink Ghost Writer is in the back of this tower. Sonars Splosion will free it, then you have to run across to the other tower to pick up a bomb plant and return to feed it to the pink Ghost Writer.

This one can be found right near the start of the MoodyMaze Marsh area. When you enter the map swim down and jump out the water the other side. Break through the mushrooms, past the pumpkin up to the caged Pagie. Look above you near the caged Pagie for a wooden walkway, jump onto that and follow it round to find the red Ghost Writer.

The blue Ghost Writer in MoodyMaze Marsh can be found not too far from the start. Begin from the caged Pagie. Standing on top of the cage the Pagie is inside, look up to your left to find a large square wooden platform. Jump up there and continue down the other side to the large blue mushrooms. You’ll notice a pool of water. Swim all the way through to the other side. When you exit the other side climb the pathway to the left, up and around past the metal tubes. Drop down the other side onto a wooden platform and look directly right, you’ll see a large blue mushroom sticking off the wall. Walk towards that and then take a left through the two trees and then directly on your left is the blue Ghost Writer.

The green Ghost Writer Ghoul in MoodyMaze Marsh can be found inside the Swampy Station, not far from the mini-mission where you help purify the water with the switch puzzle. After purifying the water, check under the now clean water for a pipe entrance into the Swampy Station. Head inside and then run around to the left once you’re out of the water. There’s another small body of water here, swim down to find the green Ghost Writer hiding there.

This yellow Ghost Writer may be available without extending the level but I had already extended the level when I discovered his location. Head to the center of the map, the area with the large logs floating through the water. You have to follow the logs all the way to one of the ends and you’ll see a few floating platforms. These lead directly to a small island that is home to the yellow Ghost Writer in this level.

The pink Ghost Writer is not available until you have extended the MoodyMaze Marsh level. Once you’ve extended it and returned, pay close attention during the little cut-scene that showcases the new area as you’ll see the pink Ghost Writer atop a structure. You need to grab the ice plant at the bottom of the structure, climb to the top and feed the pink Ghost Writer to collect it.

The first Ghost Writer you come across in the Capital Cashino level is the yellow ghoul. There may be another method but I found the easiest way is to first find the MollyCool collectible and then transform into the helicopter. Check out our MollyCool collectibles guide if you’re struggling to find it. Once you’re transformed leave the MollyCool area and head towards the big house of cards. Fly around the side and on the mid-platform at the back, you will find the yellow Ghost Writer.

Next up in the Capital Cashino in the blue Ghost Writer. Again using the transformation fly over to the large golf course. Near the golf course you’ll notice a large metal platform with a cube on top and an out of order blue slot machine, as well as lots of enemies. The blue Ghost Writer is on top of that platform, remember to use your Sonar ability to reveal it so you can catch it.

You cannot find the red Ghost Writer Ghoul until you have paid to expand the Capital Cashino map. Once you have go back into the level and look for the giant wall puzzle where you have to use air to push a ball around. A short distance past that point is a ramp near a giant flashing arrow. Use the Lizard Rush to break through the glass at the top. The red Ghost Writer ghoul is inside.

Again, I would suggest using the transformation here as it’s easier to fly to the green Ghost Writer. Using the helicopter fly around until you see the huge Yooka & Laylee wall puzzle, where you have to use air to push the ball around. There are two groups of spinning roulette tables nearby. Explore the higher ones, the ones NOT near the golf course. Atop these wheels is the green Ghost Writer.

The final Ghost Writer in the Capital Cashino map can be found inside one of the rooms during the picture panel puzzle. Once you’ve unlocked the extended version of the map, you unlock a puzzle where you have to shoot panels with pictures on them in certain order with the ice plant attack. In one of the rooms, the one AFTER the rotating puzzle, drop down and you’ll find the pink Ghost Writer Ghoul in one of the boxes.

It’s best if you have Flappy Flight to grab the first Ghost Writer Ghoul on Galleon Galaxy. From the start fly directly up and then turn around, you’ll notice some floating platforms around a large rock. Enter the rock and you will see the yellow Ghost Writer Ghoul on the left inside.

The pink Ghost Writer Ghoul is also very close to the start. Fly to the second island, where you’ll find the tonic lady and Trowzer. Just ahead of tonic lady is a ramp, at the bottom of the ramp is some glass you can smash with the Reptile Rush ability. Smash the glass, go inside, use the bomb plant and feed the ghoul to grab this Ghost Writer.

The blue Ghost Writers in Galleon Galaxy is quite a pain to find. Firstly you have to find the MollyCool collectible. On the second island, directly after the starting island, find the tonic lady and Trowzer. Fly directly up to the large tower, a sci-fi lighthouse. At the top of the lighthouse is the collectible. Now you may notice the Dr is nowhere to be seen. You have to enter at the base of the lighthouse, climb to the top and activate the button inside to free the page and activate the lighthouse. This brings the Dr back to shore.

Once she returns use the transformation ray to become a ship and sail across to the nearby area covered by the different types of stones. Destroy everything in sight and head into the middle structure, use your Sonar to find the Ghost Writer inside.

Where To Find Green Ghost Writer Ghoul In Galleon Galaxy
You must first expand the Galleon Galaxy map before you can find the green Ghost Writer. Use the transformation ray to become the ship, exit the dock and take a hard right. You’ll see a small island with a large metallic orb on it and lots of fire/ice stones. Head towards the island and melt all the ice stones on the way. The green Ghost Writer can be found hiding in one of the ice stones.

The final Ghost Writer ghoul for your Yooka-Laylee journey can be found inside the golf course. You need to expand the map first, then enter the golf course. Once inside fly up and land in the flying saucer in the sky. Drop inside and you’ll find the final Ghost Writer inside.
