Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

Assassins Creed Syndicate
Set in Victorian London, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is the sixth mainline Assassin’s Creed and continues the eons-long saga of the war between the Assassins and the Templars as they wrestle for control over the Pieces of Eden: artifacts that can change shape the course of the world once and for all.

Players take on the role of Jacob and Evie Frye, twin siblings who have only just moved to London: a city completely under Templar control. Deciding to unite the the city’s criminal underworld against the Templars, Jacob and Evie are aided by some of the most famous personalities of the era, including Charles Dickens, Charles Darwin, Alexander Graham Bell and Karl Marx.

While Jacob relies on brawling and punching his way through problems, Evie uses her wits and intelligence to sneak past enemies, turning the game into a combination of action-adventure and stealth elements. Armed with brass knuckles, a compact revolver, a cane sword and a kukri, Jacob must uncover the Templars’ designs and wrest control of London from their grasp.

Set in a sprawling open world, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s map covers seven boroughs of Victorian London, where the player is free to roam as they please and undertake missions to consolidate power in the city and fight back against the Templar menace. The map is 30% larger than that of Paris in Assassin’s Creed Unity, and features drive-able carriages for quick commuting in London. As before, parkour makes its return, and players can freely climb and traverse the city on foot, exploring the detailed sights of a meticulously recreated London, including such landmarks as the Big Ben, Westminister and Whitechapel. A new Rope Launcher also allows for faster movement and speedy traversing across buildings with ease.

Built on the AnvilNext engine that powered Assassin’s Creed Unity, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is the first game to be primarily developed by Ubisoft Quebec (previous games being developed mainly at Ubisoft Montreal), and as with its predecessor, does not have versions for last-gen consoles. The game is available across five different editions, each featuring its own bonuses, including statuettes of Jacob Frye, a map of London, numbered lithography and a hip flask.
