Dead or Alive 5 Last Round is the third updated version of Dead or Alive 5, and features a complete graphical upgrade for the new generation of consoles. Featuring all of the content from the previous updated version, Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, Dead or Alive 5 Last Round adds new costumes and customizable hairstyles, along with new characters and stages exclusively for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The new graphical upgrade also allows for 1080p, 60fps play across the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, allowing for more fluid actions. A brand new graphics engine allows for more detailed “softness” of the characters’ bodies.
The new characters in the game are Honoka and Raidou. Honoka is a teenage Japanese schoolgirl using her own unique fighting style, known as Honoka Fu, and uses a mysterious power in her fighting style. Raidou on the other hand, is an evil ninja and Ayane’s biological father. He returns in Dead or Alive 5 as an undead cyborg, copying fighters’ fighting skills.
Dead or Alive 5’s plot is set two years after the events of Dead or Alive 4, and continues the hunt for Kasumi’s evil clone, and features the characters Kasumi, Ayane, Hayate, Ryu Hayabusa, Bayman and many more, along with adding two new characters to the franchise lore: Rig, a Canadian taekwondo master and Mila, a Spanish mixed martial artist.
Following the system based in other games in the series, Dead or Alive 5’s fights are based on the Interruption Triangle system, featuring a careful balance of strikes, throws and holds. Power Blow, a new feature, allows the player to knock the opponent away when a character’s health is below 50%. The fights themselves now take place in highly-destructive arenas, featuring magnanimous set pieces.
Thanks to a freshly built engine, the development team was able to re-examine the characters’ moves and carefully refine existing moves while adding new ones. The engine also allows for a much more realistic visual style than previous games in the series.

Some cosplays are easy to pull off -- after all, anybody can don Solid Snake’s cardboard box or L’s white shirt. However, there are other cosplays that take countless hours of design. For this Mass Effect fan, the following cosplay of the Asari race is literally out of this world.
Players will become the master of the Ultimate Will with Arc System Works, NEXON, Eighting, and Neople’s 2.5 fighter DNF Duel. Adopting the megahit Dungeon Fighter Online for a new genre is no small feat - does it make the jump with panache, or should it have stuck with its roots?
