5 Must-Play June 2026 Steam Next Fest Demos

Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School

A new conspiracy is ripe for exploration with the new Steam Next Fest demo of Coin Crew Games and iam8bit Presents‘ Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School.

Evolving the escape room format from the original to an open world format, Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School features an all-new campaign complete with handcrafted escape rooms designed by veteran puzzle designers.

Equal parts life-threatening and wacky, one can play in solo or co-op as they explore this Academy’s home away from home.

Penguin Colony

Featuring a faithful re-imagining of H.P. Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness, ORIGAME DIGITAL and Fellow Traveller‘s Penguin Colony provides a front-row seat to these cosmic horrors…through the eyes of a penguin.

Yes, really.

Narrated by the iconic Lenval Brown of Disco Elysuim – The Final Cut fame, Penguin Colony transports players to the deep Antarctic in 1939 as it carries on H.P. Lovecraft’s tradition of weird fiction.

Among Us Story: On Guard

Featuring a dangerous single-player narrative adventure through space, Innersloth’s Among Us Story: On Guard has a Guard on guard.

We do love a good pun!

As part of MIRA Research & Development, Among Us Story: On Guard will have players meeting other Crewmates in true Among Us fashion as one becomes a hard-boiled private eye and attempts to identify the Impostor.

Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World?!

Blending together absurdist comedy and personal storytelling, Strange Scaffold and Frosty Pop‘s Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World?! lives up to its incredible title by having players running over pedestrians to turn them into monsters.

As the titular Truck-kun, this chaotic run-based anime driving game tasks players with making deliveries and defeating the Skeleton King across two worlds in true isekai fashion.

Heave Ho 2

The bedlam is back with the new Steam Next Fest demo of Le Cartel Studio and Devolver Digital’s Heave Ho 2.

Letting players take your partners by the hand (or even head!), this co-op adventure features pro swinging and will have players pushing, pulling, shooting, and squeezing with friends via couch co-op and online play.

Thank you to PR for all their help around this June 2026 Steam Next Fest event!
