AKIBA’S TRIP: Hellbound & Debriefed Coming Stateside July 20

Players will be able to join the Akiba Freedom Fighters when XSEED Games’ AKIBA’S TRIP: Hellbound & Debriefed comes out stateside for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on July 20, 2021.

In this title, players will be able to venture back to an accurately modeled Akihabara 10 years ago, in 2011. The bustling streets and back alleys of this otaku paradise pay host to a seedy underworld that lurks in the shadows.

Players will follow the story of the young otaku Nanashi, who is attacked and left to die. However, a mysterious young lady comes to his aid with her blood, which saves him and changes his life forever as a Shadow Soul.

Now packing superhuman strength and stamina (along with a sunlight weakness), Nanashi sets out to fight the covert NIRO agency, which is dead-set on hunting down paranormal threats. The inhuman Shadow Souls also pose a threat, but with the help of his friends in the “Akiba Freedom Fighters,” he stands a chance at achieving peace.
