Alien Isolation Coming October 7th
October 7th was just set as the release date for Alien Isolation, coming to XBox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC. Jonathan Court, Senior Producer at Creative Assembly just released a hefty amount of information about brand new first person survival-horror game Alien Isolation. As a direct sequel to the first Alien movie, Alien Isolation is shaping up to be a hit. You play as Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda, as she searches for clues about the disappearance of her mother. This game looks truly terrifying, and from what we’ve recently learned, that speculation is only confirmed.
Alien Isolation takes place on a large space station, Sevastopol, that is in the process of being decommissioned. Not only is the space station falling apart, but there’s also an alien wandering around. Everyone in the station is doing what they can to survive. The player will need to use their environment to find supplies and ammunition to aid them in their quest. The player in Alien Isolation has a choice as to how to approach every situation, and this choice will play a part in the outcome of each event. The environment is big, so there’s not just a single “correct” path. It is also important to note that Creative Assembly said there will be no multiplayer or co-op, which allows them to focus all their attention into giving the best single player experience that they can.
One last thing to definitely convey is that it is confirmed that there will be no microtransactions, which is a win with any game these days.
