ARK 2 Trailer & New Features Announced

Developers Studio Wildcard recently revealed a flurry of new details and features for the upcoming release of the highly anticipated ARK 2, during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase over the weekend. The brand new trailer features Fast & Furious star, Vin Diesel, as protagonist Santiago, and for the first time included & announced the voice of Santiago’s Daughter Meeka, played by the fantastic voice of Moana, Auli’i Cravalho. The new trailer showcases ARK 2 in Unreal Engine 5’s “photo realistic” real-time lighting technology in the upcoming next-generation survival game.

ARK 2 is scheduled to launch in 2023, simultaneously on Steam Early Access and Xbox Series X/S Game Pass, as a console launch exclusive.

The new features include advanced third-person gameplay, with new traversal mechanics including free-climbing, parkour, sliding, swinging, and mantling. Revolutionary cross-platform modding with fully stackable modes, maps, creature, and item modes all available on both PC and Xbox via mod.io.

Combat has seen a lot of improvements with special attacks, dodges, combos, blocking, a combination of features that lean more towards souls-like fighting and player skill as a focus.
