Get ready to morph, leap and smash when Dlala Studios and Rare’s Battletoads launches on August 20, 2020.
A title 26 years in the making and originally teased during Microsoft’s E3 2018 Xbox briefing, Battletoads stars the three bruisers Zitz, Rash and Pimple. Packing the ability to morph parts of their bodies in battle, they set out to take on the Dark Queen and her allies in this beat-em-up that also features platforming and racing stages.
Couch co-op support for up to three players has been included, and features the ability for players to drop in and out at will. Multiple difficulty settings, along with new vehicle sections and puzzle-solving areas will make their appearance as well.
The aesthetics of Battletoads feature a hand-animated style that captures the exaggerated morph attacks and comic timing of the Battletoads. Fully animated sequences featuring voiceovers and penned by award-winning writers will also be included.
