Deathloop Delayed to September 14

The official Deathloop Twitter account released a statement today stating that the title has been delayed to September 14, 2021.

Arkane Lyon Game Director Dinga Bakaba and Art Director Sebastien Mitton both stated that the studio has a strong vision for the game, one they do not want to compromise. To ensure the health and safety of everyone in the studio, the team has moved the date. They stated that this delay will allow the team to create a truly stylish, fun, and mind-bending experience.

You can view both the written and video statements from Arkane Lyon below:

A next-gen first person shooter, Deathloop puts players in the shoes of the Colt. This assassin finds himself stuck in a time loop on the island of Blackreef, where he must take out eight different targets before the aforementioned time loop undoes his work. Much like Arkane’s previous title Dishonored, players can utilize a blend of stealth, parkour, and attack skills to take down their targets. A multiplayer component will also be included.

The game will come out for the PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
