Specializing in off-road racing, DIRT 5 features disciplines like rallycross, ice racing, stadium super trucks and off-road buggies. Along the way, players will race in worldwide locales like Brazil, Italy, Arizona, China, New York City and Norway.

A narrative-focused career mode has also been included. In it, players will take on the rival driver Bruno Durand (voiced by Nolan North) in a series of championships along the way.
