Square-Enix announced today that Dragon Quest XI will launch in North America on September 4, 2018.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age tells of a hunted hero. This RPG was designed by series creator Yuji Horii, series composer Koichi Sugiyama, and character designer Akira Toriyama. It is a completely standalone experience that features new characters, a detailed world, turn-based combat, and an immersive story with over 100 hours of content. Dragon Quest XI won multiple gaming awards in Japan and received critical praise, including PlayStation’s Platinum Prize and a 40/40 score from the Japanese publication Famitsu.
In addition, several exclusive updates will be made to the localized version. These updates include an English voiceover, a Draconian Quest hard mode, overhauled menus and AI, a camera mode, and a new dash function.
