Dynasty Warriors 9 Open World Features Detailed
Koei Tecmo has released more information regarding the open world features of Dynasty Warriors 9.
Those that venture off the beaten path can experience scenarios outside of the main story line. Powerful enemies can appear as humans and beasts, both of which will provide additional valuable items or materials as a reward upon defeat.
Players can also venture to the teahouse, where materials such as meat and vegetables can be used to prepare meals that grant temporary boosts to characters. At these teahouses, players can also manipulate the time of day (morning, noon, dusk, night) by advancing it to speed up their health recovery.
Finally, players can craft weaponry through scrolls – useful items which detail the required materials for a player to collect. Players can earn scrolls by completing missions or by defeating certain enemies, which will unlock a weapon which can only be crafted at a blacksmith. Gems and accessories can also be crafted, which provide substantial boosts to the player.
To get around, players can use a house. Starting out, your horse will have relatively limited abilities, but these can be enhanced through riding experience via long distances or fighting on horseback. The starting abilities can also differ depending on the horse’s mane. New horses can also be unlocked and purchased at stables, all which start at different skill levels.
The game will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 13, 2018.
