After E3 last year, EA’s new UFC game went kind of dark outside of a few screenshots and the cover vote. Now we not only have a new fighter that no one expected to see, but also a release date. Check out the details below.
Someone I’ve always wanted to see in the cage but never expected to is Bruce Lee. EA brings Bruce Lee to the cage as a bonus mystery fighter and he will fight in the flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight, and lightweight divisions. You will need to beat career mode on at least Pro to unlock him for fights, or you can pre-order the game and have him on day one. Either way, you will finally get to see Bruce Lee in the cage and enjoy using his unique style against your opponents.
Along with the announcement of Bruce Lee being a playable fighter, we also received the official release date of the game: June 17th. This comes only a few weeks before a heated middleweight championship match between current champ Chris Weidman and former light heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida. Expect some sort of ad for this match in the game.
For those of you who might have missed it, EA only has plans to release this on the current generation consoles, meaning Xbox One and PS4. Sorry to anyone who hasn’t upgraded yet. Currently, we have no word on a PC release, so we sure hope you have access to a PS4 or Xbox One.
