Earth Defense Force 5 Arriving Stateside December 11

Earth Defense Force 5 - Gamers Heroes
D3 Publishing announced that Earth Defense Force 5 will make its way to the PlayStation 4 in North America on December 11.

In the game, players can join EDF and save the planet Earth. Over 100 missions (with five difficulties) and 1000+ usable arms have been included. Also new to the game are the human-like alien Primer species, which must also be taken down.

To go alongside this news, the development team has released a trailer with orchestrated music, contact with the unknown, and a number of large explosions.

Those who cannot wait to purchase the game are in luck, as both the Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition of the game are are available to pre-order on the PlayStation Store. Those who spring for the the digital Deluxe Edition will receive full access to all future DLC content, weapons, exclusive missions, support arms, and other content. Those who pre-order will receive the Pure Decoy Launcher 16 variations set, the Volcanic Cracker, and the Powered Exoskeleton Nix: Gold Coat at launch.
