Earth Defense Force 6 Coming Spring 2024

The team at D3Publisher announced that the Western release of Earth Defense Force 6 will hit PC and consoles in spring of 2024.

In the far off year of 2025 (just roll with it), humanity has managed to bring peace to the world after beating the unknown invaders known as “Primers.” However, due to this conflict, 90 percent of Earth’s population was destroyed and civilization was on the brink of collapse.

Picking up after Earth Defense Force 5 (review here) in 2027, threats to the world’s safety remain persistent. Alien colonists remain, and the two species have become increasingly hostile toward each other. As a result, the total number of invasive organisms lying in the depths continues to increase, and it’s up to the titular Earth Defense Force (EDF) to protect the planet.

The Ranger, Air Raider, Wing Diver, and Fencer classes return, now armed with new abilities and equipment. Players will get the chance to put their skills to the test through hundreds of new missions, and weapons to use. Earth Defense Force can also be played in two-player co-op with split-screen or in online co-op with up to four players.
